Introduction
Girvan Musical Society, an amateur society, was established as recently as 1997. The inaugural
meeting was held in Westcliffe Hotel in Girvan in August 1997 when a small committee was formed.Our aims are to study and
perform musical plays and endeavoour to bring entertainment to the people of Girvan and the wider community by giving at least
one public performance per year.
Membership is open to all and new members will be made very welcome all we ask is enthusiasm and dedication.
If you aspire to a lead role there are auditions for principal roles.
Our History
Since our first production of "The Pirates" in 1998 the society has delighted local audiences with its annual
shows. We are fortunate to have a theatre in Girvan Academy where all our shows take place. - 1998
